It is probably the area of the Council's role that is best known to the community and which can be of the most importance. The Parish Council is a statutory consultee for any planning applications SMBC receive for within the Parish, any applications received are added to the Parish Councils website.

The Parish Council is usually given 21 days to submit any comments or observations.

If residents have any concerns about any applications they should make the Parish Council aware as soon as possible.
