Salter Street, Earlswood Notice of Temporary Road Closure
The Council gives notice under Sections 14 and 15 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991), being satisfied that all traffic should be restricted or prohibited to ensure that the following works can be undertaken in safety:
Location: Salter Street, Earlswood at the junction with Watery Lane to junction with Vicarage Road, approximately 240 meters.
Date(s) when restriction will apply: Wednesday 9th September 2020. Times when restriction will apply: 09:30am-15:30pm.
Reason for restriction: To create access for a pole test examination. Works on behalf of: BT Openreach.
Diversion route: Alternative routes for traffic will be signed via Watery Lane and Vicarage Road. Vice versa for the opposite direction.
Access will be maintained through the site for Police, Fire and Ambulance Services responding to emergencies.
Pedestrian and vehicle access to all properties within the restriction & access through the restriction will be maintained along defined routes throughout the period of closure.
